BLAZER & RIPPED JEANS - ST. PATRICK'S EDITION

I would not describe myself as someone whose passionate about holidays. Like, I’m not even a fan of Christmas, but when you’ve been in “quarantine” for over a year you kind of start looking for any excuse to create a bit of joy or fun. I’ve been doing every “Hallmark” holiday craft with the kiddo, fancy dinners for the occasion. Just not my usual anti-holiday self, so when I got this hand-me-down emerald green blouse a few weeks back, I felt inspired to create a St. Patrick's Day outfit. It’s amazing how just one piece of clothing can inspire you to create an entire look.

I've really been enjoying wearing colour on colour these days, so I went full on extra for this St. Patrick’s Day look by throwing the mint green blazer over top of the blouse. The lighter version of green is perfect for any spring outfit.

The bottom part of this outfit I was more stumped on. I first thought I'd do a skirt, but I just felt most of my more fitted skirts that would suit this look best were to dark in colour for spring, or made the outfit look to professional. I envisioned a more relaxed look for St. Patrick's Day.

In enter the distressed mom jean.

I’ve always been a huge fan of ripped denim with a blazer. It’s the perfect mix of chic and casual. A great outfit option for a concert, casual drinks, or in this case a pub night out for St. Patty’s Day (but in like 2022 when we are allowed to gather in crowds again).

To finish the whole look, I went with my favourite pair of pumps. You’ve all seen these beauts appear in my reels more then once. They are Aldo’s wider fit high heels and SO comfortable, and the very neutral colour can be worn with anything. I chose high heels, but the beauty of an outfit like this is you can wear flats, crisp white sneakers or sandals and it still comes off as chic.
